- It's massive. The full presentation is about 30 megs (10 meg animation, 20 music). If I had a better machine, I would turn it into a quicktime/flash movie to compress the size.
- Music starts automatically, and I'm probably violating a handful of web standard rules on top of that. I tried to delay it without editing the midi, but failed. If you have a computer that freezes, download each file individually and play it on your home drive.
The story:
For anyone who has ever talked to me, you probably know that I'm of the opinion that the boy has issues about self-worth. The idea that Mamoru comes to terms with his identity as heir to the Golden Kingdom has been dancing in my head for a while. In the following sequence, Earth offers him a choice of accepting or declining his birthright. Mamoru accepts, and the Earth acknowledges. It's A private and personal exchange that has no need for witnesses.
The results? Looks more to me like he came out of an explosion.

I lied. If you would like the music, please download the file individually. (Let's hope my bandwidth holds up ^^;)
Criticism, suggestions for better dialog and music welcomed!

I was sort of expecting a conclusion when I watch it. I tried resolving it by making the image take on more of a painting/tapestry-like quality but it never quite makes it.
I don't have the skills to execute it, but in my head I see a blast of light engulfing him, the music climaxes, and when the light dies down again, you see him in King Endymion standing there.

That would be awesome. I think to make it any longer, you'd need something like Flash to make it work. There's a webcomic called Schism that occasionally animates its panels in Flash, and it reminds me of what you're doing with this drawing.
